Cute Mini Memo Pads are here!

One of the joys of my work is developing products, so when I spotted some vintage supplies I had an idea. These little beauties were designed after I found a cache of memo pad inserts. So practical yet cute for your daily list making. I love that the pages come in 2 colors, so you can have a hot list in another color. Of course they are limited edition, so when they run out, that's it! The covers are a woven polyester, and can wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. The material is formaldehyde-, phthalate-, and PVC-free. They come with an extra refillable pad insert. A mundane task is made a little more cheerful with these memo pads. Happy list making!...

Summer coverage in "O" Magazine June issue

Hey, I can't believe it's summer already. Well, not quite, but this weekend is Memorial Day, and isn't that the beginning of summer? It's a beautiful day here in NYC, so the anticipation is building. And what is better than daydreaming about a summer in Santorini? How nice to be included in this round up of beautiful blue and white items that grace the page. (I love those sandals.) Thank you so much @oprahmagazine and @therealadamsays for the shout out!

The Creative Process of Journaling

I recently came across an article in the Huffington Post regarding the benefits of journaling, and how it can lead to a more productive and better life. It reminds me of "The Artists Way" by Julia Cameron, and if you aren't familiar with her work, I highly recommend her books and website. My sister gave me her book and workbook and I truly believe her process of journaling allowed me to reconnect and develop my creativity again.  I find when I journal I am allowing myself to empty my mind of extraneous, mundane thoughts that clutter and distract me. I know we all have things to do and to be honest, life can get overwhelming (running my business, as well as design and...

Shibori Love

I'm a little mad for Shibori. I can't help it. The process of folding and dyeing, and then seeing the patterns develop are exciting and super addictive. I am learning some new techniques while also using indigo dye, which is kind of a beast. Really messy, lots of water and dye everywhere, but the end result is extremely satisfying. I hope you enjoy the variety of patterns, which are currently only on journals and tea towels so far. I'm having a blast working through developing my process and colors. More to come!

Check out the new pillow arrivals on One Kings Lane!

What a nice way to start the week! One Kings Lane is having a pillow centric moment on their site, and look who made the pile. I love the shot- it is so inviting, and it inspires me to work on a pile (or two) of my own. I love lifestyle imagery- it is more about taking a dream and making it a reality. It's wonderful to be in the mix on One Kings Lane, they are such a beautiful decor destination and I'm so happy to be invited to the party!
