I get such a thrill when I print on wet paper. Unlike traditional block printing, you never know how the ink bleeds and what the results will be. I like to play with a thick dark ink, or sometimes watery ink, which is thin and transparent. These prints are how I achieved the forms for the patterns - I create my repeats out of them. I reprint them each by hand, isolated on the page so you can appreciate the form in its simplicity, texture and ink in a raw state. These are unframed and look best floating in a frame.
