The museum store in the California State Capitol Museum is run by Capitol Books and Gifts and was created by Mary Short and the Capitol Restoration Gala Committee. Opened for business in 1982 during the gala celebration of the California Restoration Project, 1975-1981. Purchases benefit DDSO Community Services.

DDSO Community Services, formerly called Developmental Disabilities Service Organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering community-based art, employment and life skills activities to enrich the quality of life for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Graphic design support for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, including fundraising invitations designed to engage donors and supporters while highlighting the organization’s mission and impact.
